Hello Neighbor!

Feel Better

I’m excited to announce that I am available for appointments at Mountain Heart Acupuncture clinic in College Park Maryland.

My intention is to create a space of safety and refuge where all are welcome and I can help people feel better in their bodies and live a more healthy and happy life as a result. Chinese medicine is a profound way to eliminate stress and prevent illness, but for many of us feeling better often starts with addressing pain and disease in the body.

The body’s wisdom speaks volumes.
We have the choice to pause, listen and respond; or ignore and continue in the same
loop.

Acupuncture, movement, therapeutic massage, and herbal medicine are powerful and effective tools to acknowledge, respond to and interrupt messages of pain and dysfunction and more towards more ease and wellbeing.

Care Rooted in Chinese Medicine and Guided By Compassion

Rooted in Traditional Medicine

Chinese medicine and acupuncture are part of a beautiful quilt of health care resources we can draw from to support balance, healing, and overall wellbeing.

More Than Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of eight branches that form the tree of Chinese medicine alongside meditation, nutrition, herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, movement practices, feng shui, and other supportive therapies designed to care for the whole person.

Treating The Whole Person

Your goals, concerns, symptom patterns, medical history, and lifestyle habits are all considered when creating a treatment plan tailored to your needs and level of commitment.

Integrative and Collaborative Care

Integrating multiple medical perspectives is often the most thorough and supportive way to address health concerns. Here at Mountain Heart Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine is practiced as integrative medicine rooted in tradition and aligned with modern care.

Questions I Hear Most Often

Everyone comes to this work with different histories, hopes, and curiosities. Here are a few answers to the things people tend to ask before their first session so you can feel grounded and informed before you arrive.

What can acupuncture treat?

I work with pain conditions, stress + nervous system regulation, insomnia, fertility support, hormonal balancing, digestive imbalances, migraines, and chronic tension patterns.

Most people are surprised at how gentle it feels. The sensations can range from barely noticeable to a soft, warm, “wave” feeling moving through the body. My approach is slow, subtle, and extremely mindful.

Your first visit is usually around 75–90 minutes so I can get a full picture of your health story. Follow-ups are typically 60 minutes.

For the first session, no. During treatment you may be asked to undress. This will be discussed during our initial consultation.

Every body is different. Some people feel a shift after 1–2 sessions, others benefit from a series over several weeks. We’ll talk through a plan that feels realistic for your goals.
